We are glad to announce 2 nd Ayur Ex Kandy 2014 which will be held at the City Centre, the world heritage city of Kandy, Sri Lanka , from 22 nd to 24 th of May 2014 . Ayur Ex Kandy is the biennial Ayurveda educational exhibition and trade fair organised jointly by the Department of Ayurveda, Central Province and the Central Provincial Council, Sri Lanka.

Provincial Flower

Maha Rath Mala Maha Rath Mala
The official flower of the central province the Rhododendron arboreum - subsp. zeylanicum grows in the regions 1700 – 2300m above sea level, in Horton Plains, Ohiya, Pattipola, Seetha Eliya, Moon Thenne in the Nuwara Eliya district. It is reported that this plant has been found growing in the Knuckles, Namunukula ranges.
